Metavari is an instrumental post-rock band from Indiana. Formed in 2006, songs were piecemealed between the members of the band who lived in Indiana and a remaining member who was living in the Far East. The band recorded bits and pieces of ideas and slowly formed songs over the course of several months. Combined with their use of digital programming, Metavari experiments with sonic textures, self-manufactured tones and vintage equipment to develop a style that is purely organic and undeniably digital.

To date, Metavari has self-released their debut EP, Ambling EP, scored original music for a short film in Washington, DC, written three original songs in three television commercials for a regional hospital and recently finished a live performance of remixes and original arrangements/interpretations of the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds album, called ...And the way they feel. Check back for updates as Metavari is on tour this summer throughout the Midwest and East Coast.
